Senior Management

In his capacity as Chief Operating Officer, Europe, Middle East, Africa and The Americas, Xavier Destribats oversees operations in a vast portfolio of over 45 properties in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with landmark properties including the iconic Hotel Adlon Kempinski, Çirağan Palace Kempinski or Marsa Malaz Kempinski The Pearl Doha.

He is also responsible for the ongoing operations of 4 hotels in The Americas, a fast-growing region of strategic significance for Kempinski. 

Xavier is a strong hospitality leader who brings extensive international experience in hotel operations and asset management gained throughout his distinguished career with Morgan Stanley Capital and Hyatt Hotels Corporation. He joined Kempinski in 2011 as Senior Vice-President of Operations and, has been promoted a few years after, President Europe. In line with the company’s strategic plans of expansion in the Americas, and the immediate need for strong leadership presence in the region, Xavier has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, The Americas in 2017. During his six years in the region, Xavier strengthened the company’s position and built momentum in the area, while directly overseeing the ongoing operations of the Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana, Cuba as General Manager. He returned to Europe in 2024, first as Chief Operating Officer Europe and The Americas, before expanding his role and looking after the hotels in the Middle East and Africa region as of 1st October 2024.

Xavier holds a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management from the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland and has been honoured with the title 'Knight of the National Order of Agricultural Merit' for his contribution to France’s interests in the world.
