Driving Experience

Distance: 27 km

Summit: 2,383 m.a.s.l.

Max Gradient: 14.6%

The Flüela Pass is a driver's dream, offering winding curves that connect Davos, Europe’s highest-altitude town, with Susch in the Lower Engadine Valley. The pass is perfect for achieving a smooth driving rhythm, as the lack of frequent villages minimizes interruptions.

The drive begins with gentle curves through coniferous forests on the northern side. As you ascend, the vegetation thins, revealing a barren alpine landscape at the summit. The upper sections feature some of the most scenic serpentine curves, offering breathtaking views and thrilling corners.

Notably, TopGear, the popular British TV show, once ranked the Flüela Pass among the world’s best driving roads. The combination of smooth tarmac, serpentine sections, and open landscapes ensures a memorable driving experience.
