Berlin, 5 December 2024 — Whether celebrating with family or friends, as a gourmet couple or enjoying the festivities alone with a view of Germany’s biggest New Year’s Eve party at the Brandenburg Gate, the offerings at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin promise to crown the year with unforgettable moments. This extraordinary location, which drew countless visitors for public viewing during the European Championship football experience in summer, now prepares to host one of the world’s most spectacular New Year’s Eve celebrations. Before the countdown to the New Year concludes with a dazzling fireworks display—viewable exclusively by Adlon guests from a prime vantage point with a glass of champagne—the legendary hotel presents its own ‘fireworks’ finale, showcasing its award-winning event expertise, recently recognised with the World MICE Award.
The evening begins with a champagne reception in the stylishly decorated Lobby Lounge & Bar, hosted by Karina Ansos, Managing Director of the iconic hotel. ‘It is a special pleasure for me to welcome our cheerful guests, often adorned in festive and glamorous attire, to one of the most beautiful events of the year, set against the elegant Adlon New Year’s Eve ambience’, says the passionate hostess. ‘The moments of happiness we share together will become treasured memories of delightful and exhilarating hours. We have put together an all-encompassing entertainment programme to cater to every taste and temperament, ensuring an unforgettable party atmosphere.’
The prominent location of Brasserie Quarré offers many seats with a direct view of the Brandenburg Gate, while gourmands can savour exquisite dishes such as sole fillet au gratin with baby artichoke, lime sorbet with prickly pear granite infused in 1996ér Zapatera Reserva rum, stuffed prime beef fillet roulade with white Alba truffle and raspberry rose with rosé champagne sorbet and edible diamonds. The five-course menu, priced at EUR 780 and also available as a vegan option, is accompanied by live music from Joseph Odogu’s vibrant trio featuring vocals, keyboard and saxophone, ensuring guests are at least tempted to dance in their seats.
At the same time, the festively decorated ballroom of the hotel will host the magnificent Adlon New Year’s Eve Ball, which is particularly popular this year, with only a few tickets remaining at EUR 680. This includes a five-course menu, drinks and a midnight snack. Guests can enjoy a refined evening featuring dishes such as goose liver terrine with langoustine carpaccio and green apple jelly, quail with champagne and cabbage cream and Nebraska beef with Alba truffles and pickled tartare. Afterwards, dance enthusiasts will be treated to an exquisite live medley of thrilling hits performed by the party-proven Chris Genteman Group.
Connoisseurs of fine haute cuisine can look forward to an elevated dining experience at the two-star gourmet restaurant Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer. The menu includes king crab and caviar, Norway lobster with mango and kaffir lime, veal fagottini with Perigord truffle and venison with organic duck liver. The meal concludes with Tahitian vanilla with physalis, all for EUR 1,225 per person. The price includes carefully paired wines and a midnight snack. A relaxed dinner soundtrack featuring vocals, keyboard and guitar provides a charming ambience for the evening.
The sophisticated Adlon event location, 1907, with its show kitchen and wall garden, offers guests the flexibility to create their own menu from a selection of extravagant culinary highlights. Dishes such as a salad of beluga lentils with porcini mushrooms and hazelnut crumble or Arborio risotto with shaved truffle can be ordered à la carte and served with a glass of champagne from 18:00 to 22:30. An exquisite three-course menu is also available for groups of four or more.
Due to increasing demand, the Adlon is offering a children’s menu for the first time this year. Designed to cater to the youngest guests, it features spinach ravioli, baked veal fillet escalope with polenta stars and raspberry tartlets with strawberry sorbet. Priced at EUR 74, the menu includes drinks and a midnight snack and is also available in a vegan option upon request.
The glamorously decorated Lobby Lounge & Bar will keep the party spirit alive until 3:00, featuring top hits from a disc jockey to welcome in the new year of 2025. To create lasting memories of the evening, a photo box with party accessories will be available for cheerful souvenir photos.
Tickets for all gastronomic New Year’s Eve events can be purchased daily from 10:00 to 17:00 at the new Adlon Flower Atelier & Boutique located next to the entrance at the rear of the hotel. Tickets may also be requested by telephone at 030 - 2261 1959 or via e-mail at [email protected].
