Every year, the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix race attracts some 300,000 racing fans from around the world, with numerous side events that accompany the championship at one of the GP classics, Hungaroring, just outside Budapest, near Mogyoród. The city brims with excited fans – as does Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, which traditionally hosts some of the racing celebrities and their teams. The energy and passion fans bring to town and the Hotel are incomparable to any other sports event.
The Hungary event remains special in more ways than one. Constructed in 1986, it was the first race track behind the Iron Curtain. What’s more, it has held the Grand Prix race annually without any interruptions ever since. Only Monza and Hungary are afforded that privilege. With the contract freshly signed, you can keep booking your trip to Budapest until at least 2032.
The 2023 GP boasted a full house, so we recommend you book your admission as well as your stay early. Access to Mogyoród is easy via car and public transport. However, it does get busy.
We invite you to consult our Clef d’Or Concierge Team to learn more about our VIP packages to make sure your transfer to and from and your time at the Grand Prix itself in the Mogyoród location is every bit as comfortable and luxurious as your stay at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest.
