Cross-Country Skiing

For cross-country skiers, the 70 kilometres of groomed trails around the Gamsstadt are a true paradise. Whether relaxed day trips or intense training sessions - the area offers the ideal cross-country skiing adventure in the snow-covered countryside for all skill levels and activities. The trails can be used free of charge every day in good weather conditions. A special highlight in the dark is the sports trail at the Kitzbühel Schwarzsee-Reuth golf course, which is floodlit until 9 pm.
 

Trails around Jochberg

Stadtloipe 
Not far from Jochberg is the town trail, which leads from the Jochberghütte via Aurach to Kitzbühel and back again. Under good snow conditions and on predominantly flat terrain, it runs for around 18 kilometres along the Großache River and through the villages surrounded by the snow-covered Alpine landscape. This cross-country ski trail is ideal for a day trip and for all cross-country skiers who want to enjoy nature.

Hochmoor-Loipe
South of Jochberg, the Hochmoorloipe on the Pass Thurn offers a selection of different cross-country trails. At an altitude of 1250 metres, there are classic routes as well as skating trails of all levels of difficulty. Especially when the snow conditions in the valley are not ideal, you can switch to the Hochmoorloipe at any time and enjoy the breathtaking panorama view.
