Accra, 2 May 2023 – The tasty and sweet tropical fruit, mango, is in season and Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City is featuring nine new savoury and sweet dishes at Papillon Restaurant and all other outlets, with these bold flavours available for lunch and dinner this June.
Only ever thought this succulent fruit could be enjoyed in one way? Discover new flavours expertly crafted by Executive Chef Vinon Yergu and his team which showcase the culinary versatility of mangoes fused with locally grown and organic ingredients.
The mango-inspired creations comprise four main dishes which include a melody of ripened mango salad perfectly complemented with avocado and selections of berries; spicy dukkah chicken with mango, peppers and fresh mesclun greens garnishing; seared grouper elegantly presented with mango potato emulsion that will captivate your palate; and spicy seared beef for meat lovers with a twist of Asian mango salad.
Complete your dining experience with desserts, ranging from mango panna cotta, tiramisu, cheesecake or ice cream to tasty chocolate glazed crepes with diced mangoes on the side, which are not only pleasing to the eye but offer something special in every bite.
“Growing up, I have many fond memories of picking mangoes right off the trees and I’ve come to appreciate that it is quite a delicacy here in Ghana as well,” said Chef Vinon, Executive Chef at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra. “As mangoes are in season, we’ve crafted this new menu for a limited time only to delight our guests and, for some, perhaps offer the chance to taste flavourful foods in ways they have not experienced before.”
