Christmas Lounge

In winter, the city of Dresden is transformed into a winter wonderland. Numerous huts and shacks line the historic streets of the city. Saxon craftsmen, small traders and merchants offer their wares for sale. The scent of winter spices, speculoos and bratwurst wafts around your nose in the fresh winter air.

Christmas Lounge – Wednesday to Sunday 3:00pm to midnight

Cosy lounge areas invite you to unwind. Experience relaxed and heartwarming moments of the Christmas season in the Christmas Lounge at the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden. A decorated tent, directly at the main entrance of the hotel, offers you a cosy and comfortable atmosphere in the middle of Dresden's old town. 

The Christmas Lounge offers hot drinks such as mulled wine and punch flavoured with fine winter spices. The home-baked Taschenberg Stollen will sweeten your day with its sultanas and sugar icing. You can savour hearty delicacies with our homemade bread and goose fat, as well as a spicy kettle goulash. 

Enjoy sparkling moments with our range of Taittinger Champagne, an expressive Champagne with a flavour of various fruity notes of Chardonnay grapes. Enjoy the fresh, elegant flavour of Taittinger Brut and Rosé.

Carving art and gift vouchers

In another hut in our Christmas Lounge, you have the opportunity to purchase a piece of genuine woodcarving art from the Ore Mountains. It is a matter close to the heart of our long-standing employee, Mr Wenzel, to bring you closer to the handmade art of carving. 

You can also take the opportunity to purchase one of our vouchers as a gift or for yourself. In a high-quality and elegant envelope with an insert, you can leave a personalised greeting for the recipient(s). Make a hotel visit to the new Taschenbergpalais, a stay in our spa and wellness area, massages and treatments, yoga classes or an inspiring restaurant visit a gift and ensure shining eyes.
