Learn more about the renovation of the first five-star hotel in the free State of Saxony
Originally opened in 1995, this traditional grand hotel set new service and design standards in Saxony, and still sets them today. Almost three decades of five-star hospitality later, Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden reopened in February 2024 following a full renovation.
The lobby, rooms and suites as well as Café Vestibuel have been extensively renovated according to the highest standards of contemporary and luxurious interior design and equipped with new highlights. At the same time, the technical facilities have also been modernised, with a focus on sustainability.
New royal charm: Get a first impression of the new design of the Taschenbergpalais and look forward to the imminent opening. Inspired by Saxon Baroque architecture, impressive interiors have been created.

The reopening ceremony took place on 15 February. It was attended by politicians, representatives of the owners, Kempinski Hotels SA, and the press. The hotel was reopened with the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon. See a few impressions here.
