Afternoon Tea at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich

A Celebration of British Tradition with a Seasonal Twist

Munich, 08 November 2024 – Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich invites guests to experience the elegance of Afternoon Tea, held in the listed Nymphenburg Room. With its original 1950s hand-painted tiles and delicate porcelain figures crafted by the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory, this stunning setting is perfect for enjoying a timeless tradition with a distinctly seasonal touch.

Each season, the hotel’s Afternoon Tea menu is reimagined to reflect the best flavors of the time of year, adding a fresh twist to the classic British tradition. From strawberries in the spring to Oktoberfest-inspired treats in the fall, every menu brings new delights.

For the holiday season, the Christmas Afternoon Tea offers a festive interpretation with rich, warm flavors and holiday-inspired pastries. Savory highlights include Tramezzini with Ikarimi salmon and bitter orange, walnut bread with truffle brie and thyme honey, and a delicate brioche topped with port wine foie gras and black walnut. An egg mayonnaise cream with fresh cress and chives adds a refreshing contrast before the traditional scones arrive, served warm with Clotted Cream and preserves.

The sweet finale captures the magic of Christmas, with creations such as a gingerbread mousse tart with mandarin and almond, a delicate Christmas “ornament” filled with sour cherry, nougat, and dark chocolate, a classic English mince pie, and a warm Christmas Canelé with hints of tonka bean. This holiday menu is thoughtfully paired with a selection of 30 premium teas, curated by the hotel’s tea sommeliers to enhance each seasonal flavor.

The Afternoon Tea at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich is available from Thursday to Sunday, between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm, with each seasonal menu priced at EUR 170 for two guests, including champagne. The Christmas Afternoon Tea will be available from November 21 through December 29, 2024.
