New sommelier enriches the Johann Grill restaurant and the 2* Gourmet Restaurant PUR in the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden

Berchtesgaden, 2 December 2024 – The Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden is delighted to welcome
to welcome Susan Graw as its new Sommelière. The experienced restaurateur has been supporting the team around Director of Food & Beverage Thomas Walter since August 2023 as Chef de Rang and has made a name for herself with her dedication, outstanding service and her profound knowledge of wine have earned her an excellent reputation.


‘Being able to share my enthusiasm for the world of wine with our guests is a great pleasure for me,’ says Susan Graw. ‘I look forward to accompanying guests on their personal journey of discovery through our wine selection and to give them give them special recommendations.’

Her passion for fine wines led Susan Graw to train part-time as a sommelier so that she could offer her guests even more exclusive advice and carefully selected wines in future. ‘Thanks to her dedication and extensive expertise, Ms Graw will take the enjoyment experience for our guests to a new level,’ adds Werner Müller, General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden.

Background to Susan Graw
Susan Graw has over 15 years of experience in upscale catering. Before moving to the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden, she worked in renowned establishments such as the Thermenhotel Apollo and Ortner's Resort in Bad Füssing, where she was responsible as Chef de Rang and Deputy Restaurant Manager. Since training as a restaurant specialist, she has consistently pursued her professional development and developed a passion for perfect guest service.
