2. Brunni

The Brunni is a hiking and skiing area above Engelberg that offers countless leisure activities in summer and winter, especially for families. It is situated on a sunny south-facing slope and offers a wonderful panoramic view.

The cable car, the three-seater chairlift and the Schonegg ski lift take you up to 2,040 metres above sea level. This side of the mountain is wonderfully suitable for families and children.

Highlights of the Brunni lifts: Yeti Park

Yeti Park is a children's adventure park located directly behind the Ristis mountain restaurant at the top station of the cable car. Two conveyor belts and a pony lift ensure easy and comfortable transport up the mountain. Yeti Park is 6,000 sq m in size and can be used independently.

3. Klostermatte - Globis Winterland

Visit Globis Winterland and experience a unique winter landscape for children. The area is the ideal training ground for skiing, snowboarding or sledging. It is a flat skiing area, perfect for the first hours on skis or a snowboard.

At the Brunni lifts, there is a restaurant, ski hire and a ski school.

5. Slide park at Lake Trübsee

You can really let off steam in the slide park at the Berghotel Trübsee. You whizz down the slope on a rubber tyre. The covered conveyor belt takes you comfortably back to the top. The fun is free of charge.

6. TITLIS SnowXPark 

Rent an electric snowmobile at the TITLIS SnowXpark on Trübsee and enjoy the driving fun on the circuits. The e-snowmobile driving fun is unique in Switzerland. The TITLIS SnowXpark is best compared to a go-kart track. The longest lap is about one kilometre long, and there are six e-Snowmobiles on the track at the same time. No CO2, no noise, no engine oil.

1. Robinson Playground Grotzenwäldli

A short walk from the Brunni valley station leads you to the Robinson playground in the Engelberg district of Horbis. With its many activities around the small lake, it leaves hardly anything to be desired. The little ones become pirates and explorers on the island. You will find a slide, bridges and rafts. For refreshment before the next lake battle, several barbecue areas are available. Grill wood can be used for a fee.

2. Carriage Ride

Experience Engelberg during a romantic and comfortable carriage ride. In summer as well as in winter, you can discover the beauty of the Engelberg Valley.

 

3. Sporting Park

The Engelberg Sports Park offers a wide range of sports activities, whether for families or for the individual athlete, and there are facilities for everyone to enjoy all that the park has to offer. Curling, ice skating, ice hockey matches and fun courses are among the most popular group activities. 

For tennis lovers, there are two indoor courts and, in summer, four outdoor courts with magnificent views of the Engelberg mountains. Indoor ice skating or on the natural ice rink in winter guarantees a lot of fun. For the upcoming climbing season, you can start your first climbing attempts at the 12-metre-high climbing wall or directly at the rock.

 

4. Buiräbähnli Safari

On this hike, you will experience a mixture of nostalgia, adventure, beautiful hiking trails and breathtaking views. The Buiräbähnli were cable cars for mountain farmers and were used to transport goods. 

The complete multi-day hike takes 12.5 hours of pure running time and takes place off the beaten track. However, you can also enjoy parts of the Buiräbähnli Safari with your family.

 

5. Climbing in Rope Park Engelberg

The Rope Park in Engelberg offers unforgettable experiences and adventures for children and adults. It features six courses with different levels of difficulty on which you can push yourself to your limits. You will cross challenging balance bridges and suspension bridges and encounter action-packed Tyrolean slides.

6. Mountain Bike School

Discover the beautiful Engelberg mountains by bike: The mountain- bike school in Engelberg offers private and group courses for families and children to learn the new MTB techniques. In addition to the usual mountain-bike tours and courses for adults, they also offer Kids Bike Weeks. The local bike guides teach different technical skills in a practical way, depending on the riding ability, the bike and the terrain conditions.
