Munich in a day

Start the sightseeing tour through Munich after a hearty breakfast at the Schwarzreiter. Directly from the hotel and just a short walk away is the ‘Platzl’ with the world-famous Hofbräuhaus which is open daily from 9.00 to 23.00.

From there, continue on to the Viktualienmarkt. With its numerous offers, it is a magnet for Munich’s citizens and tourists alike. For the most wonderful view over Munich, climb the tower of the Alten Peter right next to the Viktualienmarkt.

Afterward, make your way to the Marienplatz, the most central square of the Bavarian capital. At 11.00 and 12 noon, you will be able to hear and see the glockenspiel live from outside the New City Hall. Leaving the Marienplatz via the Kaufingerstraße, you will reach the Church of Our Lady, the symbol of the city.

To round off your city tour, cross the Odeonsplatz and walk along to Theatinerstraße to the Max-Joseph-Platz where the Munich State Opera is located. A short stroll down the Maximilianstraße and you are back at the hotel.
