Ice Skating

Ludains Ice Arena

The Ludains Ice Arena offers guests the chance to enjoy open-air ice skating on an artificial rink, located just 10 to 15 minutes' walk from the hotel. During the winter months, an additional natural ice rink is prepared for a more authentic ice skating experience. Equipment can be hired on-site.

Olympic Ice Rink

Glide across the meticulously groomed rink in front of the Kulm Country Club, the site of the 1928 and 1948 Winter Olympic Games.

Sledding, Tobogganing & Snowtubing

Preda to Bergün

Europe’s longest illuminated toboggan run is a short journey away. The winding and adventurous route along the Albula railway line is perfect for families and thrill-seekers alike. From St. Moritz, you can reach Preda by train in about 30 minutes. There, you collect your sled and walk to the starting point. The 5 km run ends in Bergün, where you can either return the sled or hop on the train back to Preda for another thrilling ride. Adventurous guests can take the chairlift to Darlux for a steep descent to Bergün.

 

Muottas Muragl

Just 15 minutes from the hotel by bus or car, this sled run features 20 thrilling curves. The 705-meter vertical drop over 4 km promises plenty of action for thrill-seekers.

For a fun winter activity, try snowtubing in Maloja. Using an inflatable ring, you can glide down snow-covered slopes – a perfect adventure for families and friends.

 

Carriage Rides in the Snow

Lej da Staz

Experience the beauty of St. Moritz from the comfort of a horse-drawn carriage. Departing directly from the hotel entrance, the ride takes you along Lake St. Moritz to the secluded mountain lake, Lej da Staz, located in a nature preservation area where cars are not allowed. The nearby Staz Kiosk offers casual alpine snacks and drinks by the frozen lake.

 

Val Roseg Valley

From the Pontresina train station (a 10-minute drive from the hotel), horse carriages begin their journey into Val Roseg. After a one-hour ride through scenic landscapes, you arrive at the restaurant Roseg Gletscher, where you can enjoy traditional Swiss cuisine. Guests can return either on foot or by carriage.

 

Val Fex Valley

In Sils Maria, just 15 minutes away by car, horse carriages are available to take guests through the idyllic Val Fex Valley. Routes vary in length from 30 minutes to an hour.

 

Freeride & Ski Touring

Experience the ultimate off-piste adventure with a day of freeriding on Corviglia, Corvatsch, or Diavolezza. Led by a local guide, you'll learn essential avalanche safety and freeriding techniques while enjoying fantastic powder snow runs.

 

Heliski

Fly over snow-capped peaks and glaciers on a helicopter ride, followed by a breathtaking descent under the guidance of an experienced mountain ski guide.

Glüna Plaina

Skiing under the full moon on Diavolezza is a special experience. As the moon illuminates the mountain, the slopes are bathed in a magical light. After dinner at the Diavolezza mountain restaurant, guests can descend the mountain, taking in the stunning night scenery.

 

Olympia Bob Run Guest Ride

For a thrilling experience, join a ride on the 1722-meter natural ice track at speeds of up to 135 km/h. In just 75 seconds, you'll complete this adrenaline-pumping run, safely nestled between the pilot and brakeman. The price is CHF 269 per person, and participants must be at least 16 years old.

 

Winter Hiking

Explore the beauty of Engadin with winter hikes on frozen lakes, scenic trails, or snow-blanketed forests. Flat, family-friendly paths from Maloja to St. Moritz are ideal for strollers, while the picturesque walk from Sils into Val Fex offers a romantic winter escape.

 

Tandem Paragliding & Hang-Gliding

Take to the skies with a tandem paragliding or hang-gliding experience. No experience is required; simply meet at Corviglia top station and enjoy the ride. Flights run daily from 10:00 to 16:00, weather permitting.
